Are the generated passwords secure?
Yes! Passwords are generated using the Web Crypto API, which provides cryptographically secure randomness. The passwords never leave your browser — they are generated entirely on your device.
What password length should I use?
We recommend at least 16 characters for most accounts. For high-security accounts (banking, email), use 20+ characters. Our default of 16 characters with mixed character types provides excellent security.
What does 'Exclude ambiguous characters' do?
This removes characters that look similar in many fonts, such as 0 (zero) and O (letter O), or l (lowercase L), 1 (one), and I (uppercase i). This makes passwords easier to read and type manually.
Can I generate multiple passwords at once?
Yes! Click 'Generate 5' to create five passwords at once. Each one can be copied individually.
Are my passwords stored anywhere?
No. Passwords are generated entirely in your browser and are never sent to any server. Once you close the page, the passwords are gone unless you've copied them.
